Year Thanksgiving Xmas New Year

1999 Gu Cheng visited us at UIUC, I took him to Chicago. Candy couple met Shi Lei for the first time We drove to Boston, visiting Cornell on the way. We went to Mount Attitash, New Hampshire on 12/29. We skiied for the first time on 12/30, and went back to Boston with Wang Yu, went to the harbor to celebrate the millennium. Ling, Feiyu, et. al stayed to ski.
2000 We took my dad to D.C., Xmas eve we had dinner at Ling’s with Jiang Jie couple, Hao Yi couple, Zhang Hongjie/Lu Yan. Ling couple stayed at Gao Jian’s while Hao Yi couple stayed at theirs. New Year’s Eve afternoon we saw the Nutcrackers, evening Boston Pop’s New Year concert. We got last minute half-price ticket for a frontmost table.
2001 Dinner at Jay’s, Huan finishing most of suan gan shou rou by himself. Played charade and monopoly. Jin visited us. Had dinner at Jay’s.
2002 We went to Ling’s. Had a big dinner. Richard was there. Candy couple went back to China. We prepared for the move.
2003 Candy couple came up. We went to a French Restaurant in Trump Tower in midtown. We went to Ling’s. Ski at Whitetail. Saw fireworks at Jay’s.
2004 I went back to China. J went to Gao Min’s to have roast duck. Berlin. Ling at London. Vienna. Ling at Paris.
2005 We went to Gao Min’s to have roast duck and saw her daughter for the first time. Hot pot with lamb from slicer, then to Jiang Jie’s for Korean BBQ and poker. We went to Ling’s. New Year’s Eve at Lu Yinghao’s for a UIBE party. Saw the stupid the Promise, and played Texas Totem.
2006 J went to Atlanta, and I went to Gao Min’s. Stayed home and became the first witnesses of Jay/Cindy’s new born daughter Isabelle. Went to Tina’s. Toured Philly, played poker on 12/30. For New Year’s Eve, had hot pot and lots of drinks.
